OPC pH Minus 7Kg
`The first line of water balance, simple to use, to maintain those sparkling pool conditions`
OPC pH Minus is the ideal product to lower pH, Alkalinity or Total Alkalinity (TA) levels in your Swimming Pool, Spa or Hot Tub water.
Depending on the method of dosing, pH Minus (Reducer) and Alkalinity Reducer will either lower the pH or Total Alkalinity (TA) of Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub water. High pH can lead to cloudy water, scale formation and poor performance from Sanitisers (Chlorine/Bromine)and high Total Alkalinity (TA) can lead to difficulties lowering the pH.
Treatment
To reduce the pH
- Test the water with a test kit, if pH is above 7.6 add pH Minus (Reducer)
- The ideal pH range is 7.3 – 7.5
- Ensure bathing has ceased before adding chemicals to the water.
- Add pH Minus (Reducer) directly to circulating water with water temperature above 200C (for temperatures below 200C add product to 10 litres of clean water in a clean plastic container and add to directly to the circulating water.)
- Add a maximum dose of 500g pH Minus (Reducer) to 50 M3 (11,000 gallons) to the water at a time.
- After 12 - 24 hours re-test the water and if necessary follow points 3 and 4 again to reduce pH further.
To reduce Total Alkalinity (TA)
- Test the water with a test kit, if Total Alkalinity (TA) is above 180 PPM add pH Minus (Reducer) and Alkalinity Reducer.
- The ideal pH range is 80 – 180 PPM
- Ensure bathing has ceased before adding chemicals to the water.
- Add pH Minus (Reducer) and Alkalinity Reducer directly to circulating water with water temperature above 200C (for temperatures below 200C add product to 10 litres of clean water in a clean plastic container and add to directly to the circulating water.)
- Add a maximum dose rate of 1kg to 50 M3 (11,000 gallons) to the DEEPEST POINT of the Swimming Pool, Spa or Hot Tub this application should reduce the TA by 10 – 20 PPM per application.
- After 24 hours re-test the water and if required undertake point 5 again to achieve the desired reading.
